"Artistic Pool" Dateline
The following outline should be a handy tool to help you answer questions…with accurate and credible facts on "artistic pool":

Before 1991 “Trick” and/or Fancy Shot competitions…some organized by industry organizations (primarily BCA), and many produced by private companies, individuals, and/or organizations. Most of the latter were validated generically without credible documentation or industry/player acceptance through open entry fairness and unbiased challenge selections.
1991 Creation of BANKS, TRICKS, & “KICKS”, which copyright and established the umbrella wording “artistic pocket billiards” (“artistic pool” as a shortened versions). Concept patterned after “artistic billiards” on carom table in Europe, etc.
1992 Formation of “artistic pool” proposals for various organiztions…to start competitions on the amateur and junior levels.
1993 1st Annual BCA Amateur “Artistic Pool” Championship, plus 1st Annual BCA Junior “ Artistic Pool” Championship (3 divisions)
1994 Canadian “Artistic Pool” Open – Amateur and Professional
1995 1st Annual VNEA Amateur “Artistic Pool” Championship (1 tournament)
1996 Continuation of BCA “Artistic Pool” Championships for amateurs and juniors, plus VNEA event for amateurs (Addition of 2 more tournaments – one for team members and one entitled VNEA World Championship). In addition, 1st Annual VNEA Junior “Artistic Pool” Championships (3 divisions).
1997 Continuation of all BCA and VNEA “Artistic Pool” events.
1998 Negotiations begin for Russia visit to establish “artistic pool” for VNEA.
1999

1st Annual VNEA Russian “Artistic Pool” Championship
Committee formations for BCA Professional "Artistic Pool" Qualifier and WPA Professional "Artistic Pool" World Tournament (2000 Events)

2000

Highly successful WPA "Artistic Pool" World and BCA Qualifier take place in Las Vegas (Riviera), plus proposal for 2001 events (Given in July, 2000).
VNEA Russion "Aritistic Pool" Championship

2000-2001 Development of “Artistic Pool” newletter entitled THE “ARTISTIC” POCKET by Tom “Dr. Cue”® Rossman. Created to foster the entertainment value of “Artistic Pool” and educate the growing followers of “Artistic Pool”, plus conventional players in pool…new groups, individuals… in worldwide markets and special promotional venues.
2001 - ?

Constant ideas creations for specific sponsor requests and contacts, such as T.V., corporated entities, and media related event programming…

…reaching thousands upon thousands of people with the positive, upbeat, entertaining, exciting and magnetic appeal of “Artistic Pool”…

…expanding “Dr. Cue”® promotions career work in “Artistic Pool” – more educational tools, enlightened professional entertainment show presentations, and more active consultant duties for anyone desiring to sponsor, direct, and/or develop competitive formats…

…renewed energy and conviction in practice for personal “Artistic Pool” competitions, whether formatted through shot/challenge programs or graded via entertainment panel judging for show/routine presentations…

…resolution personally to continue the crusade started in 1991 for “Artistic Pool” to penetrate all sources of attention and interest, within the entire billiard community. Thereby acting as a catalyst to inspire, reward, and excite everyone involved…
